In order to solve the problem that the ERP system is ＂easy to use＂ in the basic data specification, the design and development of the material foundation encoding management system is discussed. Taking ＂material foundation encoding management system＂ as an example, the paper introduces the requirement and main function of the system, and gives the function module structure design chart, and expounds the design and development of the key code. The results show that the system can make the information management in the heavy mass data system maintenance work easier to operate, and successfully applied to a scientific research unit.
