Co-gasification of lignite and coal direct liquefaction (CDL) residue can make best use of their resources and reaction characteristics. Lignite and CDL residue mixtures were gasified by steam at 800℃ to investigate the effect of blend ratio on the gasification properties. The results show that at low blend ratio, the residue promotes the evolution of gas and tar and the carbon conversion, while the char yield decreases. The promotion and synergetic effect of residue reach the maxim at 30% blending, and then decrease with further addition of residue.
