Objective: To investgate the effect of preoperative body mass index( BMI) on breast cancer overall survival( OS) in the patients with no recrudescentand no metastatic breast cancer. Methods: To analyze the data of 1 498 patients without recurrence of breast cancer, including premenopausalgroup and postmenopausal groups for influencing factors of overall survival. Results: In postmenopausal patients with no recurrence of breast cancer, overweight or obese patients' OS was longer than patients in normal weight, and the low weight patients had shortest OS. Conclusion: Adequate nutrition and weight control are equally important in postmenopausal breast cancers.
