Virgins were important in the Women＇s biography throughout the ages of China.Virgins were promoted to be the focus by many factors such as the commending of the government and the advocating of the scholars in the special political and cultural background of Ming-Qing Dynasty.The scholars were motivated to participate in the controversy by complicated reasons such as scholarship attitude,political stance and personal emotion and so on.The controversy reflected the collision and the inheritance between Neo-Confucianism in the Song and Ming dynasties and the rite in Qing.
