In human culture,art and science both belong to human＇s spiritual culture and are two bright pearls created by human beings in the realm of human＇s spirit;in turn,art and science nourish human＇s spirit as well as human＇s perception and ration,meanwhile,they instruct humans to constantly develop and enhance human＇s creativity continuously.The spiritual character and truth value of art and science are stipulated by their nature.However,in modern and post-modern societies,art is slipping towards technicality,entertainment,lust and materiality,and its spirituality,thoughtfulness and truthfulness are being dissolved and left out;science is interpreted as means of technology,craft and material,and the cultural character,rational spirit,cognitive function and truth value of science are being ignored and forgotten.Western scholars such as Hegel,Windelband,Jaspers and Gadamer once made a lot of profound elaboration of the spiritual character and truth value of art and science.Today it is of great significance that we deeply think and comprehend them.
