以戏剧教学促进小学生英语学科能力的发展——北京市芳草地国际学校英语戏剧课探索

Promoting Primary Students' English Competency Levels through Drama——An Exploratory Practice by Beijing Fangcaodi International School

以戏剧表演的方式促进中小学生学科知识学习,在国外已经有多年的理论研究和实践探索。但是将戏剧教学引入我国中小学日常英语课堂教学并不多见。在梳理国内外戏剧教学理论与实践的基础上,以北京市芳草地国际学校为例,探讨将戏剧教学引入小学英语课堂教学的可行性,展示该校开展英语戏剧教学的实践模式和三年来所取得的成果,为将戏剧教学引入英语课堂提供启示和示范。

Learning subject knowledge through drama has attracted the attention of many teachers＇ and educators for quite some years internationally. However, scanty practice has been found domestically on teaching English through drama in regular school classrooms. This article, by reviewing the related theories and studies on drama-in-education, reports on a successful model of such practices in Beijing Fangcaodi International School. It introduces its experiences in script selection, pedagogical approaches, and achievements gained in the last three years. It is hoped that the practices in this school will provide a good example for other schools to use drama to teach English and inspire more enthusiasm and practices in this area.
