摘要
作为新生代华裔美国作家群中的一位杰出代表,伍惠明凭借其处女作《骨》获得了国内外读者及批评界的广泛关注。她的新作《望岩》承接上一部的逃离主题,塑造了许多出逃者。文章聚焦于伍慧明笔下的"出逃女",在文本细读的基础上,通过原型批评法和心理分析法,探讨女儿们对"逃离"和"固守"的选择,并指出:逃离不失为摆脱压力和创伤的权宜之计,但逃离后的回归,与过去的和解才能给逃离者提供最终的出路。
As an outstanding representative of the ＂new generation ＂ of Chinese American writers, Fae Myenne Ng, on publishing her debut novel Bone,has attracted broad attention and enjoyed high reputation from the readers and academic circle home and abroad. Her new novel,Steer Toward Rock,continuing the preceding escape theme of the first novel,characterizes numerous＂escapees＂. Based on close reading, archetypal analysis and psychological analysis, this paper focuses on her ＂escaping daughters＂,and studies daughters’ choice between ＂stay＂ and ＂escape＂. It points out that escape could be an expedient to get rid of pressure and trauma,but only the return after escape,the reconciliation with the past can provide ＂escapees＂ with ways out.
