Xingshiyanis a novel with distinct characteristics of the times,which is a true reflection of the country’s potential in the Late Ming turmoil.The author upholds the objective of＂setting examples in society＂and is very concerned about the politics and society of the late Ming Dynasty,so that the novel has considerable.The factors of social news value,such as timeliness and importance,universality and sociality,fun and human touch,etc.,are worth discussion.
