摘要
多丽丝·莱辛的《屋顶丽人》是其短篇小说中的佳作,该小说令人刊心刻骨之处在其反复出现的人物的凝视行为。凝视在文学作品中占有举足轻重的作用,可以让读者参透人物的心理状态,以及作者创作的意图和作品的意义。从凝视这一视角出发,探讨《屋顶丽人》中的凝视行为对小说人物身份地位的作用及影响,进而挖掘凝视行为背后的深层意义和文化表征以及消解凝视行为之途径。
A Woman on a Roofis excellent works of Doris Lessing’s short novels.Gaze is quite impressed in this novel.Gaze deserves importance in literature because if there is no character’s gaze,it would be difficult to penetrate character’s inner part and hard to understand the writer’s intention and the implication of the novel.In this way,this paper is going to analyze the function of gaze and its influence on character and explore the deep meaning and cultural implication behind this act and the way to dissolve this act.
