The formation of Hu Shi＇s education thoughts is related with his era background, family education and school experiences. He pushed the reform of educational system; reform the old education; to advocate education independence theory; introduce the concept of modern western education. With particular emphasis on higher education, respect students＇ personal interest, the integration of Chinese and Western culture and education, which are to promote the development of modern Chinese education.
