小篆和隶书的特色笔画,横的比较是在小篆和汉隶的范围内,垂脚的比较是在小篆和古隶之间。隶书之于篆书,是继承中的创新。小篆的特色笔画垂脚,在古隶中也有表现,按形体分有直脚和弧形脚,按方向分有向下的直脚,向左下、向右下的弧形曲脚。小篆和古隶都有垂脚正是古隶对小篆的继承和不完全的改造。

The horizontal comparison of characteristic strokes between seal character and official script is in the, range of seal script and Hanli, while the vertical comparison of foot is between script and old official script. Official script is the innovation of seal character. The unique stroke of script which can also be found in old official script, which is divided into straight foot and curved foot from formation ; straight foot downward, curved foot towards left and right from direction. Vertical foot is the inheritance and incomplete transformation of script.
