Investigation into the Singers of Kirgiz Epic Manas in Kezelsu Autonomous State and the Corresponding Protective Advice

柯尔克孜族英雄史诗《玛纳斯》是柯尔克孜族在不同历史时期的知识总汇。《玛纳斯》能够以口头形式保存并代代相传是天才史诗演唱者的功绩,这些民族艺术家在演唱史诗《玛纳斯》时,既继承了前辈史诗歌手传统的演唱内容与风格,又在此基础上融入了自己的创作成分,使得史诗在结构上得到进一步完善,艺术上得到进一步提高。对这一群体开展全面田野调查,对研究、总结及保护《玛纳斯》都具有重要作用。

Manas is the heroic epic of Kirgiz Nationality. Manas has been passed down from generation to generation by mouth,to which the community of epic singers made great contribution. Based upon the traditional content and style,each singer in every generation offers his/her new contribution to the development of Manas. Therefore it is extremely siginificant to make an investigation into the community of the epic singers for the study and protection of Manas.
