The talent training mode of ＂modern apprenticeship＂ puts forward new requirements for higher vocational teachers＂ professional ability. Through investigation and analysis of the current situation of higher vocational teachers＂ professional ability, this paper explores the constraints to improve the teachers＂ professional ability and proposes higher vocational teachers＂ professional ability cultivation strategies from the needs of the teachers＂ self professional development, their enterprise work stations, professional ability evaluation system and the skills competition.
