摘要
新供给主义经济理论视改革为经济发展之核心,视推动创新为切入点,以结构优化为侧重点。本文选取新供给主义研究视角,批判性地分析了大学英语课程现行需求管理模式的弊端。认为目前对大学英语教育的传统需求已基本达到上限,该课程已进入供给老化阶段。有关部门应放弃需求管理模式,采取供给管理模式,以新供给主义理论引领课程改革:一方面,进一步放松供给约束,为大学英语课程的供给主体即各高校外语学院创造良好的制度环境;另一方面,进一步激励新供给开发,经由课程创新保持课程魅力。唯此,大学英语才可以突破瓶颈,服务于学生和社会的长远利益,推动社会经济和文化的成功。
Neo-supply theory regards the reform spirit as the core of economic development, innovation asthe starting point, and the structural optimization as the emphasis. This paper provides a critical analysis of thepresent demand management mode in college English education. It is proved that the traditional demand on col-lege English course has already reached the upper limit and only by adopting the supply management can thecourse development be guided by neo-supply theory. A friendly institutional environment is expected to encour-age the foreign departments of different schools as the suppliers and the neo-supply theory can be further devel-oped to maintain the effectiveness and efficiency of the course, which will stimulate the growth of College Eng-lish and is beneficial to the future of students and society and the prosperity of economy and culture.
