A Review of Chen Wangheng's Environmental Aesthetic Thought

陈望衡结合了西方环境美学思想及中国传统文化,站在全球视角看待中国环境问题,提出了一套具有中国特色的环境美学理论体系。本文就该理论的六个方面,即环境美学的理论基础,环境美学的生活主题,环境与资源的关系,功能与审美的关系,城市建设问题以及乡村建设问题展开讨论,分析陈望衡环境美学思想的理论价值及其对中国环境建设的实践指导意义。

With both western environmental aesthetics and traditional Chinese culture in his consideration, Chen Wangheng ponders upon Chinese environmental problems from a global perspective, proposing a theoretical framework of environmental aesthetics with Chinese characterisucs. This article analyzes the theoretical value of Chen＇s environmental aesthetics and its practical meaning in Chinese environmental construction from six aspects, i.e.. the theoretical foundation of environmental, aesthetics, the life theme of environmental aesthetics, the relation- ship between environment and resources, the relationship between function and aesthetics, the problems of urban construction, and the issue of rnral development,
