Misdiagnosis of Florid cemento-osseous dysplasia leading to unnecessary root canal treatment:A case report

摘要 繁茂性牙骨质结构不良(FCOD)是牙骨质结构不良(COD)的亚型,是非真性肿瘤性病变,通常无症状。本文就1例将FCOD误诊为根尖周疾病从而导致不必要的根管治疗病例进行报道分析。 Florid cemento - osseous dysplasia（FCOD） is a subcategory of cemento - osseous dysplasia that is nonneoplastic reactive lesion. FCOD is often asymptomatie. This case report demonstrates an unnecessary endodontie treatment of teeth with FCOD due to a misdiagnosis as periapical pathosis and briefly reviewes the relevant literature.
