林业区划是林业建设的一项重要的基础性、战略性、控制性和指导性工程。在全国二级分区控制下,湖南省林业发展三级区划采用指标体系法和主导因素法相结合,根据三级区划指标和定性分析,经综合研究,划分了8个林业三级区;明确了不同区域的林业的发展方向以及主导功能,统筹谋划林业的生产力布局,对区域林业的中长期发展具有指导意义。
