New standardization of VoLTE roaming architecture: S8HR

摘要 GSMA最近提出了一种新的Vo LTE国际漫游架构,即S8HR方案,该方案与早期的RAVEL方案一起均作为未来Vo LTE国际漫游架构的一种候选方案。与前期提出的RAVEL方案不同,S8HR方案不需要在VPLMN中部署IMS网络,只需要HPLMN部署IMS网络并且VPLMN支持LTE国际漫游即可。该方案对于缩短Vo LTE国际漫游实现时间,扩大业务提供范围都非常有利。本文将对S8HR方案的技术特征、基本呼叫控制、方案对比测试结果进行详细介绍。 GSMA recently have proposed a new VoLTE roaming architecture, S8HR, as second candidate for VoLTEroaming besides RAVEL. Unlike previous architecture, S8HR does not require the deployment of an IMSnetwork in VPLMN. It is only need IMS network deployment in HPLMN and bilateral LTE roamingagreement. S8HR is advantageous because it shortens time-to-market and provides service universallywithout having to depend on the capability of VPLMN. In this article, S8HR technical characteristics,basic call controls, technology fi eld trials and performance comparison are discussed in detailed.
