Western Cultural Crisis and the Choice of Chinese Advanced People to Marxism

第一次世界大战和战后欧洲危机引起了中国先进分子对西方文化的严重危机感,促使具有宏阔世界眼光的他们对西方资本主义文化进行深刻的反思。在此过程中,他们的思想观念经历了急剧的变动,从宣扬资产阶级民主主义、生存竞争、国家主义、财产私有到逐渐趋向于平民主义、互助进化、世界主义、财产公有,而集中辐辏于社会主义。从世界历史视野,用整体、统一的眼光看,中国先进分子选择马克思主义可以说是在世界文化变动催迫下引起的反响。

The First World War and the crisis in Europe caused a serious crisis of Chinese advanced people to western culture,and prompted them,who have the broad world vision,to conduct their profound reflection of Western capitalist culture.In this process,their ideas experienced the rapid change,from advocating capitalistic democracy,nationalism,competition,private property to populism,mutual aid evolution,cosmopolitanism,public property,and focused on the socialist convergence.From the view of world history,with a unitary perspective,the choice of Chinese advanced people to Marxism was a response caused by the world culture changes.
