近代金陵大学反帝爱国风潮原因探析

Cause Analysis of Anti-imperialist Patriotic Movement in University of Nanking in Modern Times

金陵大学是中国近代史上享有盛誉的教会大学,不仅其教育事业成绩斐然,而且它还是一所有爱国传统的学校。为何一所注重培养"基督化人格"的教会学校,却经常站在反帝爱国风潮的前列,从基督新教教义的包容性和世俗化的催生、非基督教运动和收回教育权运动的推动、金大精神和校风的孕育、中共地下工作者的组织和指导四个方面加以论述,可以藉此加深对中国近代史多维度的理解。

University of Nanking was a well-known church university in the modern history of China, enjoying high popularity for its remarkable education and patriotism. Why a church university, whose mission was to cultivate Christians, took its lead in anti-imperialist patriotic movement？ This paper attempts to illustrate it from the following four aspects, such as the inclusiveness of doctrine of Protestantism and promoter of seculari- zation, anti-Christianity movement and withdrawal of educational rights, spirit of University of Nanking and birth of school spirit, organization and guidance of CCP underground workers for the purpose of full under- standing of the modem history of China in order to deepen the overall understanding o modem Chinese history.
