The Research Commentaries on the Clubs of Venerable Elderly Poets in the Song Dynasty

宋代怡老社是老年人为安度晚年、愉悦身心而组织的社团。该类社团数量不少,南宋尤多,且大多活动于今浙江、河南、江西、福建、江苏诸省,其中浙江四明、河南洛阳的怡老社又特多。宋代怡老社影响很大,洛阳耆英会即每为后世所艳羡。

The Communities of Elderly Poets in the Song Dynasty （960-1279） were the poetry clubs set up for the old poets who wanted to enjoy their remaining years in comfort and make themselves delighted. There were quite a few number of such poetry clubs mainly distributed in many areas like Zhejiang, Henan, Jiangxi, Fujian and Jiangsu in the Southern Song Dy- nasty （1127-1279）, among which were the Siming district in Zhejiang and the Luoyang district in Henan where there were more such clubs. These poetry clubs in the Song Dynasty had much influence on future generations and later on, the Qiying Club （the Venerable Poets Club） in Luoyang were admired by later generations.
