孔子学院保持可持续发展是国家开展对外汉语教学和文化交流的重要支撑,是孔子学院不断发展壮大的前提条件。随着全球经济一体化步伐的进一步加快和汉语热在世界各地的快速升温,孔子学院迎来了前所未有的发展机遇。面对未来巨大的发展空间,针对当前孔子学院发展过程中存在的一系列制约因素,未雨绸缪研究和探索一条与所在国法律、文化、教育有机融合的发展道路,必将对孔子学院实现跨越式发展产生积极而深远的影响。

The sustainable development of the Confucius Institute is a pillar for the Teaching of Chinese as a Foreign Language and for cultural communication as well as the prerequisite for its further development. With the economic globalization and the on-going Chinese fever throughout the world, the Confucius Institutes are embracing unprecedented opportunities for development. In face of the vast development opportunities, this paper investigates some constraints in the further development of the Confucius Institute, and proposes a feasible approach to the integration of its development with the legal, cultural, educational features of the host country, which should have positive and far-reaching impacts on the great-leap-forward development of the Confucius Institute in the near future.
