Research on the Silk Road Economic Zone:Core Issues and Direction of Development

丝绸之路经济带是新形势下中国扩大对外开放、促进对外战略转型的重大举措。目前,国内外学术界围绕丝绸之路经济带的内涵、特点、依据、定位、必要性、可行性、挑战障碍、潜在风险、实施路径与未来前景等议题,进行了积极有益的探索和研究并取得了丰硕的研究成果,但现有研究存在理论研究滞后、分析层次单一、研究方法传统、研究路径封闭等不足。今后学术界应加强对丝绸之路经济带国际话语体系构建、社会民意基础强化、政治风险预警与应对、战略支点选取与建设,以及沿线区域合作机制共生共存等问题的研究。

Construction of the Silk Road economic zone is an important strategy in the new situation for China to expand its opening to the outside world and promote strategic transformation to the outside world. Up to now, the domestic and foreign academic circles have already done substantial research concerning the Silk Road economic belt： its connotation, characteristics, basis, orientation, necessity, feasibility, challenging ob- stacles, potential risks, implementation and future prospects; however, the current research demonstrates the following features： outdated theories, single-dimensional analysis, traditional research methods, and enclosed research road. It is suggested that in the future academia should get more involved in the following areas： strengthening the construction of international discourse system revolving around the Silk Road economic belt; reinforcing the foundation of social public opinion; early warning of political risk and response selection; selection and construction of strategic pivot and the co-existence of regional cooperation mechanisms along the Silk Road economic belt.
