稀土化合物TbPdSn的中子衍射分析

Neutron Diffraction Analyses of Rare Earth Intermetallic Compound TbPdSn

TbPdSn化合物为斜方晶系（Pnma）,TiNiSi型晶体结构,低温显示反铁磁性质.采用电弧炉制备了TbPdSn化合物多晶样品,再用提拉法生长成TbPdSn单晶样品,并用背射劳埃法对单晶样品定向.在单晶样品的a^＊-c^＊面和b^＊-c^＊面进行了中子衍射实验,在5K温度点发现,k=（0,-0.26,0.9）处有磁衍射现象.

The TbPdSn compound, with the orthorhombic （Pnma） TiNiSi-type crystal structure, shows antiferromagnetic properties at low temperature. The polycrystalline ingots were prepared by arcmelting method,the single crystal was grown by using a Czochralski pulling method in an arc furnace,the growing direction of single crystal was determined by back scattering Laue method. Neutron diffraction measurements have been performed on the single crystal of TbPdSn in the reciprocal a^＊ -c^＊ plane and b^＊ -c ^＊ plane. The magnetic reflection with k= （0, -0.26,0.9） have been observed at 5 K.
