Opening Minds Making Decisions——a Comment on American Urban Institute of Overseas Education Think-tank

美国智库城市研究所(Urban Institute)尽管是一个综合智库,但其在宾夕法尼亚大学近年来关于教育领域的全球智库排名中一直名列前茅。美国总统林登·约翰逊曾在城市研究所(Urban Institute)成立时说:"城市研究所的建立是美国期望已久的事情。它将通过知识的力量,帮助我们解决压在所有人心中的那些关于我们的城市和生活的诸多问题。城市研究所将要进行的研究、评估以及客观真实的咨询,将为改造我们的城市和生活提供雄厚的基础。"本刊特约记者通过文献法和访谈法等多种途径,从城市研究所的运行概况、在教育领域的研究脉络以及近期研究重点等几个方面进行评述,以期对我国教育智库建设和发展有所启示。
