This paper mainly discusses the usage variances of ＂Mi＂ and ＂Kong＂, from the three aspects below： the differences in pragmatic color, in choosing syllable structure combination modes, and in semantic features. The paper analyzes the generative patterns of ＂Mi＂ and ＂Kong＂, pointing out the reasons of the different use of ＂Mi＂ and ＂Kong＂： different semantic features, developmental stages of words and different semantic drifts.
