This paper tells the feminist background of the creation of the novel Emma and the origin and development of feminist criticism theory. In the analysis of the novel Emma, the author puts forward the contradiction between the female hero＇s female consciousness and the author＇s reason and emotion. At last, combining the author＇s understanding of the novel Emma, this paper expounds the feminism view of Austen.
