历史文化视野下的审美观照——评刘树元的《小说的审美本质与历史重构》

文学是人学,小说创作的根本问题是对人性的把握。新时期以来,随着文艺观念的解放,出现了挖掘"人性"多种可能性的小说。刘树元的专著《小说的审美本质与历史重构》以卢卡奇的整体美学主义作为观照,从整体、文本、文化、立场、风貌、重构六个文学关键词入手,探索了小说的审美本质,包括小说创作中的个人化写作、作家的价值立场、艺术的想象力和人性情态的诗性描写等等。这本专著的价值在于为中国当代小说的进一步繁荣与发展提供了坚实的理论依据,为文学审美批评指明了正确的方向。

As a study of human being, the fundamental problem of novel writing is the understanding of human nature. With the liberation of the concept of literature and art, the novels＇ digging up various possibilities of human nature has sprung up since the new era. With Lukacs＇s notion of whole aesthetics as reference, starting from the six key words ＂wholeness, text, culture, viewpoint, style and features as well as reconstruction＂, this treatise explores the aesthetic nature of novels including individual creation in novel writing, writer＇s philosophy, artistic imagination and the poetical description of the emotional state of human nature, etc. The value of the book lies in the fact that it provides a solid theoretical basis for the further prosperity and development of contemporary Chinese novels and points out the right direction for aesthetic criticism of literature.
