摘要
"意象"在典籍翻译中起着至关重要的作用,是融入主观情意的客观事物。如果英译中仅用概念思维对中国典籍中的"意象"进行翻译和诠释,很难让西方读者领略到中国文论的表达张力和特殊魅力。《庄子》是一部"以意筑象"的哲思典范,是在意象思维主导下产生的诗性人生哲学。"象""境""意""神"是领会《庄子》本真意蕴的思想通道,"以意筑象"是其行文思路,读者可以通过理解《庄子》的"象"而通向《庄子》的"意",以此去接近不可言说之"道"。译者在翻译时要与作者"梦怀相契",在对中华典籍中的文化意象准确认知的基础上,可采用"增词达意""虚实互化""陌生化"等翻译策略,对意象合理地翻译转化,将中华智慧体系、价值观念的文化精神展示给其他国家的文化群体。
Chuang-Tzu, building its artistic conception by image, is a classical philosophical work. Translator should not only attach great importance to image conversion and fully understand the spiritual style of original work through coming into the original author ' s recognize world and touching the image of the original work, but also preserve the spiritual style of original work and artistic conception. Based on the translation of Chuang-Tzu as an example , this paper probes into the image conversion and its culture connotation and philosophy mind, in order to adopt properly translation strategies to make foreign readers understand and provide beneficial reference for Chinese culture spreading over the world.
