Trade between Guangxi and ASEAN under the Perspective of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road

广西与东盟的贸易经过"黄金十年"已取得了明显的效果,广西成为中国与东盟贸易的前沿地区。21世纪海上丝绸之路的构建,连通了东盟、南亚、北非、欧洲等各大经济板块,形成面向南海、太平洋和印度洋的战略合作经济带,东盟是海上丝绸之路的必经之地,是沟通南亚、印度洋不可或缺的一环,是21世纪海上丝绸之路建设的重要组成部分。广西则是中国与东盟陆地直接接壤而且海上有港口对接的唯一省份,是大西南的出海口,也是周边省区与东盟联系最便捷的通道,陆海相邻的地理位置意味着广西在21世纪海上丝绸之路建设中有着比中国其他省份更独特的位置和机遇。

The trade between Guangxi and ASEAN has achieved significant result after the ＂golden decades＂, therefore, Guangxi has become a bridgehead of trade between China and ASEAN. The construction of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road could connect major economic sectors of ASEAN, South Asia, North Africa, and Europe so as to form strategic cooperation economic belt towards to South China Sea, the Pacific Ocean, and Indian Ocean, ASEAN located at the only pass of maritime silk road, is a significant part for connecting Southern Asia and Indian ocean, also as an important part of 21st Century Maritime Silk Road. Guangxi is the only province in China directly connecting ASEAN with not only road but also sea; it is an entry to southwest region, and the most convenient channel for surrounding provinces to connect ASEAN. Therefore, the unique location of Guangxi has more development opportunities than other provinces of China in the 21st Century Mairtime Silk Road.
