当今社会,各种蓬勃发展的志愿者活动正在国内外各个舞台上扮演着越来越重要的角色,为推动社会进步、服务经济发展做出了突出贡献。近年来,在"5.12"汶川地震、"4.20"芦山地震等重、特大自然灾害,"奥运安保"、"抗战胜利阅兵安保"等各类大型赛事活动中,参与社会管理创新以及平安、法治中国建设和公安队伍建设等工作的专业警务志愿者活动发挥了不可估量的积极作用。四川警察学院经过长期实践,不断丰富发展专业警务志愿者活动这一专属性极强的志愿者活动内涵,不仅极大地扩展了公安机关积极警务工作的外延,而且在实现警察高等院校人才培养目标,提高人民警察打击违法犯罪、服务人民群众的能力,促进地区志愿者活动协同发展等方面发挥着积极的作用。
