In consideration of land saving and For the ease of management, the separation distance should be reduced as much as possible between the planned pipeline and existing pipelines. But it would cost a safety threat to the adjacent pipelines iFthe parallel laid pipelines are too close to each other. Once an accident occurs in one pipeline, it would probably damage the other pipelines, or even cost a second accident. Too narrow space between pipelines might affected pipeline repairing. So parallel paid pipelines should be appropriately Far away From each other. ThereFore, it is quite important to determine the minimum safe distance reasonably. Combining with previous engineering experiences, after investigation, comparison and demonstration, 10 m spacing between parallel laid pipelines would be reasonable in the Forest regions and permafrost regions.
