The Successes and Failures in Neo-Gricean Pragmatics

摘要 新格赖斯语用学是一个重要的当代语用学派别,他们坚持Grice提出的合作原则及其准则,为推动语用学的发展做出了不可磨灭的贡献。但是,这种理论也存在一些不足,如,过分强调了他们的数量原则与信息量原则之间的对立,霍恩等级的覆盖面太窄等。本文探讨新格赖斯语用学的得失,希望有助于提出一种新的替代方案。 As an important school of contemporary pragmatics, neo-Gricean pragmatics has insisted on the cooperative principle and its attendant maxims proposed by Grice, and made everlasting contributions to the development of pragmatics. There are also some problems in this theory, however, e.g., they have overemphasized the contrasts between their principle of quantity and that of informativeness, and the scope of Horn scale is too limited. This paper examines the successes and failures in neo-Gricean pragmatics with a view to contributing to the advancement of new alternatives.
