中国离全球性大国还有多远

How Long Is the Chinese Way to Become a Global Power?

全球性大国是一国在全世界范围内被普遍承认的地位。从英国和美国发展成为全球性大国的历程看,形成全球性大国必须具备地域大、国力强和世界性影响三个根本要素。目前,中国具有成为全球性大国的良好条件。改革开放三十多年来,中国各方面都取得了突飞猛进的发展,但同时,也要冷静看到自己的多处不足,尤其是周边关系、社会制度和美国因素三大客观挑战。面临复杂现实,中国需要谋划战略全局,保持战略镇静和淡定,充满信心,切忌骄躁情绪和急于求成,扎扎实实做好自己的工作,坚定不移地增强综合国力。

The global power is a universally recognized status of a country in the world. From the history of the UK and US in terms of developing into a global power, being a global power needs three fundamental conditions： vast geographical area, enormous national strength, and world influence. At present, China has had the good conditions for becoming a global power. After the 3o years plus of reform and opening up, China has achieved rapid development in all aspects, but at the same time, it should also be soberly aware of its many deficiencies, especially the neighboring relationship, social system and the US factors. Facing the complex reality, China needs to make an overall strategic plan; maintain strategic calmness; be fully confident; avoid arrogance and rashness or being eager to make quick results; do a solid job in all of the work; and unswervingly strengthen the comprehensive national strength.
