摘要 植物螯合肽合成酶(phytochelatin synthase,PCS)可在重金属离子激活下,以谷胱甘肽(GSH)及其巯醇盐为双底物催化合成植物螯合肽(phytochelatins,PCs),从而解除生物体内重金属的毒性。远源同源蛋白分析揭示了PCS属于木瓜蛋白酶超家族,其催化机制类似于Cys蛋白酶。 Activated by heavy metal ions, phytochelatin synthase(PCS) catalyzes the synthesis of plant phytochelatins(PCs) using GSH and related thiols as bisubstrate, which contributes to heavy metal detoxification. Analysis of distant homologous protein revealed that the PCS belongs to papain protein superfamily and its catalytic mechanisms were analogous to Cys protease.
