明式圈椅是明式家具的典范,而椅圈的曲线围合造型是明式圈椅的标志性特点,是它区分于其它椅类家具的特征性家具构件,也是我国家具最具民族特色的造型特征之一,将明式圈椅曲线围合造型运用到现代家具设计中做符合现代人生活需求的诠释是我们的追求。本文从椅圈造型的独特性、椅圈造型的艺术性、椅圈造型的科学性和椅圈造型的文化象征性四个方面对椅圈进行特征探析,以便加深人们对圈椅椅圈的了解,有助于其更好的运用到现代家具设计中。

Ming style round-backed armchair is the a typical form of traditional Chinese furniture,the surrounding curve modeling of round back is the characteristic furniture component which makes the round-backed armchair different from others,applying it to modern furniture design,and interpreting the need of modern life,that is our pursuit. This article explored the basic characteristic of round back from four aspects, including uniqueness,artistry,scientificity and cultural symbolized,in order to deepen the understanding of round back and make it better used in modern furniture design.
