文章记录了"前童木构"设计者的试验性实践与思考。该项目主体由136块木头构件,采用无钉无胶的全榫卯结构拼装而成。所有木料由五轴数控机床预制生产,经传统大木作工匠现场搭建而成。
This article is a background story about a contemporary wood construction practice：Qian Tong House.The house is assembled by traditional Chinese carpenters on site with 136 separate wood components prefabricated by 5-axis CNC machine without any nail or glue.An evolved Chinese timber structure of mortise and tenon connection is practiced combining modern processing technic with ancient oriental esthetics.
