For the purpose of introducing and spread-ing the application of Lean Thinking theory in China, Mr. Stuart Nunn from DTI of UK and Dr. Peter Hines from CARDIFF BUSINESS SCHOOL visited China Automotive Technology and Research Center (CATARC) in November of 1996, raising the project of jointly establishing a Centre of Excellence in China. Through dis-cussions and efforts’ by both sides, the MOU of Jointly Establishing Lean Enterprise Excellent Centre in China was officially signed on Feb.
