Diesel engines made in China all met the Euro II──Difficulties in meeting the Emission Standard is quality of fuel and management of those in-used vehicles

On Sep. 1, 2003, the Euro II standard for vehicle emissions came into effect nationwide.LI Lei, an official with the State Environmental Protection Bureau, said that as the quality of oil deeply influences the emissions of diesel engines, the State environmental protection authorities need to make environmental protection criteria for the diesel fuel, plus supervision and examination, to guarantee the implementation of the technical policies and regulations for emissions control.
