罗伯特·奥尔福德是具有重要学术影响的政治社会学家,卫生政治学的先驱,其代表作《卫生政治学:改革的意识形态与利益集团障碍》公开出版已40周年。该书基于纽约卫生改革的失败而提出的利益相关者分类及其政治关系理论,开拓了卫生政治学研究新领域,提出了卫生政治学研究新框架,奠定了卫生政治学学科研究基础,对当今医改仍具有重要的影响与指导作用。近年来,健康的政治决定因素越发受到重视,卫生政治学和卫生政治经济学研究需要不断创新发展。

Robert Alford is a political sociologist with an important scholarly influence and a forerunner of health care politics. His representative work, named Health Care Politics：Ideological and Interest Group Barriers to Reform, has been published for 40 years. Based on the failure of New York health care reform, the book proposes a theory of stakeholders＇ classification and political relations in health care reform, opens up a new field of health politics and propo- ses a new framework for the study of health care politics,which lays a disciplinary foundation for health care politics re- search and still has an important influence and a guiding role for today＇s health care reform. Recently, political determi- nants of health are being paid more and more attention to and further innovation of health care politics and health politi- cal economics research is needed.
