Research on Library Space Evolution in Ubiquitous Information Environment

通过对泛在信息环境、图书馆场所、图书馆空间演变、下一代读者图书馆空间需求、未来图书馆空间服务五个方面问题的讨论,论证泛在信息环境下图书馆空间演化和演变的不争事实。图书馆会因为技术、馆藏、服务、空间使用等因素的影响进行空间的演变,向学术型空间发展,提供读者终身学习的环境,使图书馆在未来社会继续保持不可替代的地位。

This article demonstrates the process and inevitable fact of library space evolution by discussing the following five issues： ubiquity, the place of library, library space evolution, library space requirement of next generation readers and library space service in the future. The library space will transform to academic one because of technology, library collection, service and space usability, which will both provide the readers a lifelong learning space and ensures the irreplaceable status of the library.
