The poetry of Tang Yin integrates the implicit compliments of traditional literati poetry and the natural and plain quality of folk poetry, which inherited the artistic characteristics of literati creation with an extremely rich individuality. Tang Yin was an important poet of the Ming Dynasty in the development process of forming a connecting link between the preceding and the following. He exerted a certain influence upon the poets of late Ming Dynasty with a straightforward way to express their innermost thoughts through poetry. He was of important significance in the poetry of the Ming Dynasty.
