President HU Jintao Signs Order Promulgating Law of the People’s Republic of China on Precautions Against Earthquake and Relief of Disaster On the sixth meeting of the Standing Committee of the 11<sup>th</sup> National People’s Congress of China held from Dec.22 to 27,2008,President HU Jintao signed the Order of President to promulgate the Law of the People’s Republic of China on Precautions Against Earthquake and Relief of Disaster,which will be put in enforcement on May 1,2009. The Law is composed of 93 items in nine chapters,including general provisions,planning for precautions against earthquake and relief of disaster,earthquake monitoring and prediction,precautions against
