Translation of Discourse Markers Between Chinese and English in the Past 20 Years

本文详细梳理近20年来国内英汉话语标记语的翻译研究,将其分为新世纪前、后两个时期予以探讨。本文的研究发现,随着对话语标记语认识的加深,专门针对话语标记语翻译展开的研究不断面世,且呈现出从零散研究转向系统研究的特征:研究范围扩大、研究手段更新、更加注重翻译原则等理论探讨。此外,本文还尝试探讨了本领域未来研究的若干方向。

This paper reviews the studies on the translation of discourse markers between Chinese and English in China in the past two decades, which are divided into two periods： before and after the year 2000. It is found that with more understanding of discourse markers, the studies specifically on the translation of discourse markers are expanded continuously, demonstrating a shift from unsystematic to systematic research with larger research scope, new research methods, and more emphasis on translation theories. This paper also attempts to outline some possible directions for future study in this domain.
