Reality, History and Future—— On Cultivating and Practicing Core Socialist Values

培育和践行社会主义核心价值观有不少前提性或基础性的问题需要思考。如何把握当下社会现实的特点、如何认识历史的"遗产"、如何面向未来,确立价值观构建的现代意识,对于这些问题的深入思考,有助于我们在对现实、历史与未来的把握与选择中,逐步从生存的"自在"状态进入发展的"自觉"状态,从而使我们对社会主义核心价值观的培育和践行的认识真正地从"认知"走向"认同"。

There are some basic issues to think about in cultivating and practicing Core Socialist Values （CSV）： How to understand the characteristics of reality？ How to treat historical legacy？ How to establish modem awareness of values when people face their future？ Pondering these questions can help to develop from ＂free＂ condition to ＂conscious＂ state when facing the choices from reality, history and future so that CSV can be truly ＂identified＂ instead of ＂cognition＂.
