This paper introduces the concept and features of sci-tech novelty retrieval and the requirements for sci- tech novelty retrieval station, expounds the application of sci-tech novelty retrieval in subject recommendation service from three aspects of the construction of subject resources, the service for scientific research and the training for users, and points out that the sci-tech novelty retrieval combined with the subject recommendation service ,and put forward the importance of personalized recommendation can serve better the scientific research work.
