Scientific selection is the key factors of the success of the athletes. Nowadays, the level of competitive swimming is in a time of rapid advance. How to make a scientific selection is a task which is worth deeply researching. It is quite important to make a scientific and modem selection according to the features and trends of swimming events. To carry out specific and scientific selection according to the athletes in Liaoning＇ s characteristic is the basis for bringing up first-class athletes. Hope that this study can provide some theoretical support for the scientific selection of swimmers.
