On the Change of China's Development Concept from the International Comparative Perspective

当前,国际社会中多种不同的发展理念,包括霸权政治的发展理念,基于西方国家发展模式和新自由主义思想的发展理念、可持续发展理念和五中全会提出的发展理念等。不同的发展理念在人类的发展实践中产生了不同的效果和影响。霸权政治的发展理念是当前国际政治、经济不稳定的重要根源。对西方国家发展模式的照搬,给许多拉美、非洲国家经济带来了灾难性后果。可持续发展理念在取得显著成就的同时,在现实上难以解决人类发展过程中的深层次问题。五中全会提出的发展理念,将在引领中国未来发展实践中发挥重要作用。

At present, there are various development concepts in the international community, including the one aiming fbr political hegemony, the one based on the Western development model and neo-liberalism, the sustainable development concept and the development idea proposed by the Fifth Plenary Session of the Eighteenth CPC Central Committee. Different development ideas have different effects on the development of human beings. The development idea of power politics is the important source of the current instability in the international polities and economy. Copying the development model of the West mechanically has caused disastrous consequences to many Latin American and African countries. While the idea of sustainable development has made remarkable achievements, it still finds it difficult to solve the deep-seated problems in the process of human development. The development concept put forward in the Fifth Plenary Session of the Eighteenth CPC Central Committee will play an important role in leading the development of China in the future.
