The present study examined the influence factors of concreteness effects processing using event-related potential (ERP) measurements and we used Chinese two-character words as experimental ma- terials during a lexical decision task. The results showed that noun words were discriminated from verb words from the early stages and so was the high frequency word and low frequency word. Furthermore, there is no significant interaction between word concreteness and word property. In other words, word property did not affect the processing of concreteness effect. The effect of Chinese two-character word con- creteness only can be seen in low-frequency words in single context. Chinese two-character word frequency and concreteness might be two related factors in single context. In other words, word property affected the processing of concreteness effect.
