新加坡是个多民族、多宗教国家。自1965年独立后,新加坡政府采取了一系列措施来解决民族问题,如注重民族平等、推广多元语言政策、扶持落后民族发展、培养国家意识、提倡宗教平等等,实现了各民族的和谐发展,取得了举世瞩目的成就。其多元民族政策的推行对我国的民族政策制定具有一定的启示意义。

Singapore is a multi- ethnic and multi -religious country. Since its independence in 1965, the Singapore government has taken a series of measures to solve the ethnic problems, such as attention to national equality, promoting multiple language policies to support the development of backward nations, fostering national consciousness, and promoting religious equality, to achieve a harmoni- ous development of all ethnic groups, and has made remarkable achievements. Singapore＇ s implementation of diversified ethnic policy can give some enlightenment for the development of national policies in China.
